Successive approximations to solutions of dynamic equations on time scales
In this paper we establish the method of successive approximations within the field of “dynamic equations on time scales”. Our introduction and application of the method leads to new results concerning the qualitative and quantitative properties of solutions to nonlinear dynamic equations on time scales. The new discoveries include sufficient conditions under which we conclude: existence; uniqu...
متن کاملConvergence of an Approach for Solving Fredholm Functional Integral Equations
In this work, we give a product Nyström method for solving a Fredholm functional integral equation (FIE) of the second kind. With this method solving FIE reduce to solving an algebraic system of equations. Then we use some theorems to prove the existence and uniqueness of the system. Finally we investigate the convergence of the method.
متن کاملA Successive Numerical Scheme for Some Classes of Volterra-Fredholm Integral Equations
In this paper, a reliable iterative approach, for solving a wide range of linear and nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations is established. First the approach considers a discretized form of the integral terms where considering some conditions on the kernel of the integral equation it is proved that solution of the discretized form converges to the exact solution of the problem. Then th...
متن کاملNumerical solution of functional integral equations by using B-splines
This paper describes an approximating solution, based on Lagrange interpolation and spline functions, to treat functional integral equations of Fredholm type and Volterra type. This method can be extended to functional differential and integro-differential equations. For showing efficiency of the method we give some numerical examples.
متن کاملConvolution spline approximations of Volterra integral equations
We derive a new “convolution spline” approximation method for convolution Volterra integral equations. This shares some properties of convolution quadrature, but instead of being based on an underlying ODE solver is explicitly constructed in terms of basis functions which have compact support. At time step tn = nh > 0, the solution is approximated in a “backward time” manner in terms of basis f...
